Research Interests

I am interested in the mathematical underpinnings of decision-making in dynamic and uncertain environments, more specifically in the fields of optimization, control, game theory, behavioral economics, networks and stochastic systems. Specifically, I am interested in:

  • Stochastic Optimization, Control and Learning
  • Game Theory
  • Control of Network Systems
  • Model Predictive Control
I am also interested in the applications of the above methodology in energy and transportation systems.

One of my current focus is on modeling, estimation and control of epidemics and spreading processes on networks. Some of our contributions include:

  • developing a closed-loop approach for inference and control (via non-pharmaceutical interventions) of SIR epidemics on networks, [Preprint]
  • investigating the impacts of game-theoretic activation on epidemic evolution on temporal networks, [Preprint] and
  • investigating the impacts of behavioral biases on vaccination decisions in a game-theoretic setting. [Paper]
