Announcement for Prospective Students
I am looking to supervise students for their PhD theses, M.Tech theses and B.Tech Final Year projects in the areas of Computer-Aided Process Planning, CAD/CAM, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems and Micromanufacturing. If you are interested in pursuing research under my supervision, please send email to sankha.deb@mech.iitkgp.ernet.in to set up a meeting, and include in your email a copy of your CV including the list of relevant courses that you have taken and the grades obtained along with the list of the papers that you have published, if any. It is not necessary to come prepared with a research topic. I have a collection of research ideas that we can discuss. Undergraduate students who are planning to pursue M.S. or Ph.D. can get involved in a research project under me from the third year itself. PhD applicants must first apply to the Department against the advertisement for Ph.D. admission.
