Creation of Excellent Laboratory Failities

The VC promised to the 6000 strong first batch students of the university that their batch will not be an experimental batch and went ahead creating the workshop and the laboratories of different Engineering branches and Sciences in full form with worldclass equipment like FE-Scanning Electron Microscopes, XRD machines, servo-hydraulic machine, small scale plants etc., by the side of other equipment spanning all the academic programmes. Experts visiting RGUKT campuses lauded saying that the teaching laboratories of RGUKT are better than the best of NIT’s and nothing short of the IIT’s.

Also, the procurements were done very cost-effectively at such unheard of prices, done through very constructive and conscious negotiations. Prof Kumar being the sole professor in engineering in the initial stages, it posed a big challenge, he had to give time, personally provided guidance to the young faculty and in a short time the laboratory facilities for teaching were created in high standards and put to use for imparting hands-on training to the students in best of standards.
