Internationalization of education

The research programme at IIT Bhubaneswar has been envisioned to help the nation to realize its dream of “Self Reliant India”, and to be of global class and standards, in the endeavor of creating an institute of global excellence as per the enhanced vision for the institute in 2016

• It was envisioned to significantly increase the international flavor in education by by recruiting international faculty regularly for long terms at Indian salaries. A fairly good success was achieved on this till Covid brought a temporary break
• An attempt was made to attract international students into the academic programme through advertisement, Covid brought a break in it and a lot of work is yet to be done in this endeavor.
