Brief Bio-Sketch

Dr. Ashis Maity is presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of the Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur since 2017.

He broadly works on analog/mixed signal system design in the integrated circuit (IC) level. Currently, his research is focused on energy harvesting for powering microsystems, power management ICs for portable applications, and sensor interfacing electronics.

During 2002–2005, he was working with Alliance Semiconductor, Bangalore, India, as a Member Design Team. During 2008–2009, he was with National Semiconductor, Tokyo, Japan, as a Senior Design Engineer. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the Integrated Power System Design Laboratory in The University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, USA, from 2016 to 2017. He was the recipient of IESA Techno Inventor Award 2016 by India Electronics & Semiconductor Association. He was also awarded as a Winner in the PhD Forum in 29th International Conference on VLSI Design and 15th International Conference on Embedded Systems 2016.

Prospective Students:

No summer/winter internship position

I receive lot of applications with a short-term (1-3 months) commitment for carrying-out an internship. Due to the growing complexities of the today's IC design, it is quite impossible to learn and contribute within such a short period. For this reason, I do NOT offer an internship position. Also, it is quite impossible to respond individually, due to the large number of applicants.

B.Tech./M.Tech. Students: Need at-least one-year of commitment.

Ph.D./M.S. Students: We constantly look for bright Ph.D. and M.S. students.

If you are willing to work in my research group, please send me a copy of your resume.
