DefIn is a python based program for computing the Deformity Index of a phylogenetic tree based on either partial or complete knowledge of the relationships among the species.
Input:
This program executes by taking two inputs, target tree and the set of reference clades. Additionally, it can take the reference tree (both binary and multifurcated) in place of set of reference clades.
Output:
This program computes the correctness of the target tree based on the set of reference clades (or reference tree) and gives a numeric score (>= 0) which we call Deformity Index. The lower Deformity Index represents more support of the relationships among the species in the target tree based on the reference clades.
