Note for Prospective Students

Any specialized knowledge, although helpful, is not a pre-requisite for starting a PhD in an interdisciplinary area, e.g. multiphase flow. You need not worry if you have not attended an undergraduate module called multiphase flow.

One with a good training in basic disciplines, e.g. fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, can read the relevant literature during the first phase of a PhD and can build the required specialized knowledge. This literature survey is an essential part of a PhD in any discipline.

You have some experience in conducting a literature survey for research projects in your undergraduate degree. The specialist reading that you'll need for a PhD will be of a similar kind, but obviously more extensive, thorough and in-depth study is required.

Interested candidates with a good Honours Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant disciplines are welcome in this exciting field of research.
